This is what I've seen. A lot depends on the person buying and the local market though. You could get lucky and sell a just running bike for a thousand or more, but it's not likely and the buyer might be upset later on.
Not Running - Needs work $200-400
Running - Could use some work $500-600
Running and Registered - could use some work $700-800
Running, Registered, Good Shape $900-1000
Really, Really nice, to pristine, Registered $1000+
I've seen pristine bikes with 10 miles on them go for $2500 and they weren't even registered.
