[Honda-C70] Re: 120cc Lifan into a c70 - correct exhaust?

Tom,

I am thinking of doing the same upgrade on my bike. A couple of things:

1. I have come across the following bike exhaust system http://www.bestdirtparts.com/p101/Flat-MUFFLER-EXHAUST-PIPE-system/product_info.html. It was listed as being something that people bought in conjunction with http://www.bestdirtparts.com/Engine-Motor/c25/p49/LIFAN-125CC-ENGINE-MOTOR-COMPLETE-KIT/product_info.html. I would check your exhaust measurements on the engine you have as the muffler photos indicate what the size required is. I know the one listed on this site is not listed with a 120 but perhaps the exhaust will fit your bike/engine without modifications.

2. Consider searching notes and/or posting your issue on the separate Honda Clone Yahoo group too at http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/honda_clone/. you may benefit from additional input from the folks who have registered there.

3. The issue you have brought up highlights the need for a shared spreadsheet/database containing "winning combinations" for upgrades to C70s which can be posted and updated on the appropriate Yahoo group. The spreadsheet should contain at least the following:
*upgrade items
*locations purchased
*purchasing cost
*additional steps/troubleshooting required to integrate into existing bike.
*other notes

I hope this helps.

Regards,
Mark
