[Honda-C70] C70 Passport cam chain tentioner adjustment

 

I'm getting engine surging when cruising 30 to 40 MPH. I wonder if it could
be cam tentioner out of adjustment?

I have checked the timing.adjusted the points.overhauled the carb.fiddled
with the float level, now set at very slightly above level when checking the
float level, bowl off, with carb upside down.adjusted the pilot screw + and
- from 2 turns from seat.new spark plug set at .0025 thousands.adjusted the
valves to .002 thousands.changed the air in the tires..cleaned the rear view
mirrors.etc.

No improvement..wonder if my sledge hammer would help!!!!!!
