The End of ARM is Near...

That's right. Jump for joy or cry, it's up to you.

Blogging is not what it is cracked up to be. At least in politics, it's not. I love reading about trends, families, or niche subjects, but JESUS is the "blogosphere" just choked with wanna-be policy changers. Newsflash: If you are not an elected official, you can't do anything!

Over the past few months, I guess you could say I have been introduced to the heart of what drives politics in this country. And, not to continue bashing the world of second class writers out there, but blogging is not getting you anywhere. The people that read your blog are the same people that read everyone else's blogs. We represent such a minute fraction of this country's population, and we all bicker about the same subjects we have no control over by simply writing.

Sure, it's fun bitching about how I read news headlines like "Oscars represent political message". Sure the awards do. It's a hard sell for me to respect a man who says once you have directed, written, and starred in a movie, you are suddenly "somebody" and "can make a difference" in this world (George Clooney, not surprisingly a liberal). I will definitely be taking advice from people that compete over expensive toy dogs in $6000 purses, and say "I don't understand why water just isn't free for everyone" (Paris Hilton & Nicole Richey, not surprisingly liberals, also). You have Bono, sharing the cover of Time Magazine with the Gates, when Bono (who is guess what? A LIBERAL)still carts around the world in his expensive aircrafts and vehicles, and thinks concerts attended by hippies in Africa will bring awareness. And here the Gates, who will leave only .02% of their fortune to their children to give the rest away to charities, are lambasted by Democrats to pay more in taxes, and are rarely mentioned in the press for their achievements. Liberals must be so proud of who dances in the limelight to speak for them. Speaking of movies, let's paraphrase a quote from "The Aviator" when Howard Hughes speaks to Katharine Hepburn: "You are just an actress, you are a dime a dozen. I MADE my money". That's so true. These wealthy liberals (like the inheritance rich Ted Kennedy, who pays almost no income tax because his money comes from the Kennedy estate, which derived it's millions bootlegging whiskey from Canada)are always so quick to spend others' money, without giving thought that maybe most people in this country WORK to make their money.

I could go on about how the great State of Illinois is passing legislation to provide laptops for 7th graders, without appropriating money for the program. Eligibility is to be determined by income, school poverty and performance, and demographics. Why not just get to the point and say the computers are for the kids of Chicago, and the rest of the state need not apply? I could whine on here all day about how this program is blatantly biased to support Chicago, and how us rural citizens will get stuck will the tax bill once again, because they are relying on grants that haven't been assigned to this yet. I could laugh at how a liberal legislator was quoted today saying these laptops will improve test scores, increase attendance, and reduce behavioral problems. Laptops do all of that? WOW, can they clean my house, too? Once again, you have a liberal throwing responsibility and accountability out the window, in favor for a more useless route that makes them look good for reelection, without providing any real benefit to the ignorant general public. They know it and exploit it. Liberals are always there to hail these wastes of money as the Holy Grail to solve all problems! I could go on about how Daley and Blagojevich are apparently bedfellows, because I never hear anything on NPR that this sorry ass LIBERAL Governor has introduced or streamlined to support anywhere other than Chicago.

I could point out all the websites and individuals who attacked me for calling Tammy Duckworth a publicity stunt, but then again, these same sites and people are now crying in their beers over how she was NOT their wounded hero, but a sellout funded by an attention seeking liberal PR guy. I'll say it now, HAHAHAHAHAHA, I love that I was right. Where's my kudos? Oh, I forgot, liberals can't admit they are wrong against the great and almighty ARM.

I've been called racist, but never by anyone of color, lolol.

I've been called a bible thumper, when I have been steadfast in saying I don't believe in a God, but I defend religious freedom. I've been called "crass" by the religious right, for not supporting intelligent design, when that's such a small particle compared to all the rest of the subjects I support in their favor.

I've been called a baby hater and "de-linked" (OOOOooo, that hurts how will I ever move on with my miserable life?). I am pro-life myself, but I will not support banning abortion when there is nothing in place to protect these families we forced into the world. If it's one thing I hate, it is people who dictate others in the name of God, when God is supposedly merciful, and will forgive those who have sinned. I made not be religious, but I have a respect and a memory for what I was taught. If religious zealots want to make abortion illegal at all costs, I hope they will freely give out their nest eggs to support these children. It's your duty after all, to help thy neighbor.

My writing and grammar is relentlessly picked on, but I've never claimed to be a writer. Besides, what does anyone get out of pointing this out? As far as I'm concerned, I'm still more effective in advancing my political beliefs than sitting behind a computer in a shitty apartment eating Cheetos than people that can write flawless.

So, there you go. Typical ARM rhetoric, sure to bring on the typical comments from the same typical people. But, now I'm intelligent enough to know that this is useless and ineffective.

I believe volunteering my time to the candidates I support running for office is much more effective. If I don't like who's running my life, I will work to vote him or her out! If someone follows my beliefs, I'll work to elect them.

I haven't figured out what to do with the site yet. Sell it? Maybe, it does have a catchy name! Let it fade into the distance? Probably, as there will always be another target for hypocritical liberals to attack.

That is not true. Advocacy groups affect policy all of the time. You just got to stay in the fight...even when it seems dark.

Just a thought, but maybe you get so much hate directed to you because you spew hate first. Your damn title is "ANGRY" Republican Mom. It is the moderates who will get things in this country done and you are doing our country a disservice by attacking people on the left who aren't necessisarly always correct, but trying to do what they can to make this a better country. I love this country and I believe social liberalism combined with (what used to be) conservative fiscal responsibility will make this country paradise.

One more thing, maybe you could direct your anger at your Republican party that has completely abondoned its roots and losts its soul to big business. Conservatives are no longer for small government or responsible spending. Ever since Reagan, whenver a Republican is in charge, the debt and deficit go up and the economy goes down. Stop playing by the partisan handbook and wake up. Liberals and old school Republicans have made this country a great place and your neoconservatives have sent it to Hell.

Please don't go yet, there are not enough of you out there! At least before you go, please tell the world that President Bush NEVER said we'd be out of Iraq before the end of his presidency. Mainstream meadia is quoted as having said "...the Pres announced some disturbing news yesterday, that the decision to get out would be on the shoulders of the next admin..."

Does no one remember his state of the union after 9/11?

I haven't been by in a while, but I've always liked reading what you have to say.

I blog for myself. Not because I think I can change the world. I'm not trying to make news or break it. I don't consider myself a citizen journalist.

But to poo-poo the power-potential of blogs is unwarranted. There are powerhouse bloggers like Hugh Hewitt that make an enormous difference in the political landscape. And when the conservative collective are agenda-driven to push a story or viewpoint, it does shape news and opinion.

You shouldn't feel obligated to blog for others and to blog a certain way. It is what it is, and it is what you make it to be.

Anyway, I shall miss you should you let this blog fade away.

ARM, I'm sorry to see you go, you are at least entertaining.

The purpose of my blog is primarily to educate people on the basic principles of liberty. I attempt to do this by pointing out how the Democrats, Republicans, lobbying groups etc. act against the best interests of liberty for the American people.

It happens rarely, but when a person in a position of power is acting in the best interest of liberty or at least doesn't seem to be doing violence to it, I like to point that out too.

I never know who my blog might influence so I keep doing it. In the mean time, I am entertaining myself, my readers and simply fulifilling my need to write.

Mr. Joseph, here's a news flash for you, being angry doesn't equate to hate. In fact being angry often causes people to become motivated and change things for the better. People who hate never seem to move on. Like your party, who, because they lost the Presidential election in the largest landslide win in political history can't move forward.

I suppose you think that if you call the economy bad enough it'll suddenly be bad. We are enjoying the most prosperous economy since Reagan turned it around during his time in office. Oh, the deficit, that’s always another "talking point" for you liberals isn’t it? What you fail to mention is that we are fighting a war, and while this war is altogether necessary, it costs us something. Oh, and please, don't give us that nonsense about your political hacks voting against the war. We all know they supported it when they thought it would be of political benefit. But when it required strength and character to continue the fight, well they’ve decided loosing might just be better and easier choice.

Your party raises taxes and discourages work. You party let our defense budget drop so low that we could barely pay our service men and women a decent salary to live on. While your party and your Democrat President played footsie with the copy girls in the oval office, terrorists and terrorism grew stronger. So strong that 3000 men, women and children died on our own American soil.

What is your parties answer to the issues we face today? Only finger pointing and the blame game. Your party has no plan of action, never did. This is why America is turning their backs on your radically left wing leaders. Go, Mr. Liberal, put your arms around your ACLU friends and sing peace songs. Conservatives will protect your homes, your country, and your unborn children. Our elected officials will pass legislation to protect our flag and our borders. We'll continue to boast our economy so every person in American can work and achieve success to the limit of his or her potential. Also understand my liberal friend, I am not speaking for ARM, she cam certainly handle your dribble without my interference, so if you have the courage to respond, please, please visit my blog. I’ll be happy to hear from you.

Believe this, you will not be the first liberal I’ve sent away broken by the truth. Oh, and one last thing, use a freaking spell checker!

Baaaahhhh! You can't just quit like that! And I don't believe the crap about bloggers not making a difference. One person can change the mind of one person, and a dominoe effect can take place. When elections roll around it is the people who are ultimately in power, and politicians know this. Blogs therefore do have power to change things, especially on issues in which we all speak out with one voice on. It may not happen over night, but don't underestimate the power of everyday people. I know it gets frustrating.

Tell me, should I also quit? Am I just pissing in the wind? Shouldn't all bloggers just give it up? I mean, are any of us making any difference? I feel like quitting everyday. Maybe I should.

Oh, and one last thing, use a freaking spell checker!

this is how don ends his tirade. as the son and grandson of english majors, I can respect that.

yet, only two sentences previously we have, she cam certainly handle your dribble without my interference

now, not a big thing, certainly-- but aren't conservatives always saying "the little stuff matters"? But I wouldn't worry about it too much don, "rules for thee but not for me" seems the hallmark of your party these days.

    peace y'all.

Now, I could add something about the above, but in fairness to don, spellcheck doesn't help when the word you use is just wrong, period.

"broken by the truth", this liberal will now go away.

    y'all take care.

Republicans just don't get it. Republicans are so burried in the pockets of big business and doing everything in their power to keep the monorities and poor down, while at the same time help all the rich and wealthy get richer and wealthier. Evil never came in a more blatant form than Ronald Reagan. Ronald Reagan was one of the worst presidents in our nations history. Anyone who didn't see that he was a bald faced racist and money grubbing mieser is just simply in denial. Every last one of his economic policies (reaganomics) was designed to make sure that it was virtually impossible for a person working for minimum wage, or just above it could never be a land owner, home owner, or investor. The pathetic state that Ronald Reagan's reign put this country in can still be felt today some 20 plus years later. It took Bill Clinton 8 years to put the country back on track and head in the right direction economically, and then here comes George W. and sent us right backward. As long as a Republican have been at the helm of the nation's and the quite frankly the world's highest office the United States has always been a nation in reverse. While George W. neither his dad were racist like Ronald Reagan they are prejudice against anyone who isn't their six figure or better in crowd. The reason you conservatives get so angry with people like Bono and George Clooney is because they have the mentality that it's enough to go around, money isn't in such scarce supply that only the republican hoarders have to have it all, as long as big business keep lining the pockets of the corrupt republicans in senate and congress. Yes I did mention Bill Clinton, who the republicans made this nation look like a big joke when they went on their witch hunt after the country's leader over a "personal family issue". What he did wether right or wrong was not my or the nation's business, he didn't use out tax dollars to do it, and he didn't do it with my wife so I consider it a "personal issue". The original "old school" republicans are extinct gone are republicans like Abe and Teddy where their agenda was in the best interest of "the poeple" all the people, not just the priviledged and wealthy. I know people who work a thousand times harder than some pencil pushing white collar bureaucrat, but will never get thier slice of that "American Dream" that their rightfully due as long as todays so called conservatives have thier way. Myself and my younger brother were victims of Ronald Reagan's economic policies. We never in life thought that our father would pass away at 42 years old, but when he did I was in my freshman year of college and I could not get one dime of the money that my dad worked hard all his life for. So on scholorships and working 3 jobs is how I put myself through college while still taking care of home. When Ronald Reagan died who did you see mourning this man? Nothing but rich wealthy white people (his minions). Ronald Reagan put more people out of house and home than natural disasters ever have. So "Angry Republican Mom" the next time you want to vent your anger towards "peace mongors" just remember they have a legitimate gripe. Look at the sorry economic state that America is in and this president that you revere so much is still pumping billion after billion into another nation. That's the problem with republicans their too dedicated to people instead of pricipal. Some one can be the biggest screw up in the world and you'll be right there defending thier every mistake and miscue because thier "Republican".

Why on earth would you quit? So what if blogs are a tiny voice? At least they are a voice. We do have our uses, and we are doing good things. Mostly. I hope!

You just have to ignore the nit-pickers who attack your grammar or spelling. And hang in there when you are taken to task for not being all things to all on the Right. Who cares?

I enjoy Neal Boortz, but I sure as heck don't agree with him all the time. I love Sister Toldjah, but I don't think she's correct all the time. Now me, I'm always right, but that's just me.

I don't think either major party gets it. One is bent on having Americans die for nothing, the other is bent on having Americans die for their electoral advantage, which is to die for nothing as well.

I am as conservative as they come so don't try the liberal trap because it doesn't work. I have been both a national and state party convention delegate for the GOP since 1980, and spent more money on getting these clowns elected and then they do nothing about the issue the ran on (abortion, gay marriage, smaller and less intrusive government, etc.)

WE CAN'T WIN IN IRAQ! Cut the losses and let some of the people who will die if we don't come home soon live.

When this fiasco in Iraq is over we Americans are going to look around at the rest of the world and say."What happened to the rest of the world while we were gone?"

Sure sitting at the computer and blogging seems to not accomplish much but, hey, it's all we got and at least it's something of a voice until someone comes and take it away.

There's a lot of issues to address and every voice counts - including yours. Apathy is thick and so we gotta keep stirring.

I'll keep checking back and hope to see a flame starting from the spark still smoldering here.

    Peace to you.
