A Great Site
I received an email from the guy who runs Camp Katrina, a website that is "Proving the United State Military Does Much More than just Kill People and Break Things".
First off, let me tell you that catch line they have is so appropriate. So many ignorant "peace loving" liberals on this blog are so busy accusing mothers such as myself for "not serving" (ok guys, sorta past that point in my life), they fail of honor those who ARE serving, and the fact they VOLUNTEERED to do the job. You know, most of these soldiers are PROUD they are serving this country and the world. Even though anti-war liberals can't grasp the concept of duty and honor, thank God these people do.
So many whiny liberals on this site accuse our military of "abuse" and spin the concept of "torture", that they fail to remember that 99.99% of the soldiers out there are making this world a safer place to live and raise our families. They're doing their job, and keeping your right to act a liberal asshole safe.
Camp Katrina focuses on the subjects that liberals are to dense to absorb. It's about time that a website was created to bring to the forefront what we do not see on the nightly news, because it doesn't bring in the same ratings as defacing our military and showing death does.
So, even though you liberals walk around all day espousing all the "bad" in our country, things are getting accomplished. Camp Katrina is living breathing proof. Do you want to know WHY you can't win elections? Because all the sane people of this country realize all the GOOD that is being done. You all cry "doom & gloom", and the birds are chirping outside.
And, if they're not, you can bet the people that will be there to bring them back will be the good people of our military. Most people in this country see how good people and life really is here in the United States.
There's whiny liberals that do nothing but complain on the internet all day, and then there's the rest of the world, getting things accomplished. Don't believe me? Ok then, go to Camp Katrina and get your facts straight!!!

There's quite the difference between "service" and "combat", but I wouldn't expect you to know what you're talking about. There's a whole big world out there outside of a book. Women can do a great job in the military, especially when piloting aircraft. And, that's not combat, because the only thing a woman has to do there is be a great pilot to out-manuver an enemy. Women can make great mechanics, spies, support, and any number of other positions.
But, I'm not surprised that yet again you lie to discount me. However, I find it funny that I have several military men, women, and sites that understand me and agree. You try to speak for the military personnel, but no one's backing you up. Probably because, like I said, you don't know what you're talking about.

He's sick (and it seems a good majority of Americans are waking up to it now) of the pomposity, the self-congratulatory war bullshit, the snarkiness, the uber-religious fanatacism, and the lack of realism as to what it really takes to govern...and it doesn't mean that being a liberal or turning to liberalism will solve all problems - only morons think in black and white terms...it means finding the right configuration - the McCains, the Feingolds, the Schwarzeneggers, and the independent politicos to know how to govern. I no more want a Hillary Clinton or a Howard Dean or a Harry Reid in control than you do...but I also want accountable government and leadership...we haven't had any for going on 16 years...what say you to that?

You always compare me with the talking heads on the radio. I don't understand, because other than my loud mouth, I have nothing in common with them. I don't need to get into all my positions again, you should know them by now. I am a very moderate person in my views, I am Republican in where I don't want to "reinvent" anything to keep with the times.
You associate me with talk radio because I don't agree with all your beliefs.
I don't want to throw all my money to social programs. I want to keep my gun. I don't want gays getting "married" when civil unions are more appropriate. I support the war not because our President sent us there, but because this region has been plotting against us for eons.

If you think your party has a plan, or that they have higher standards, you need to visit the comment section of Soapbox Chicago when they quoted my Duckworth article. Those commentors fit the stereotype I throw all liberals in. You call me a Hannity/Rush, but call you guys disorganized, whiny, and I'm still waiting for your answer to terrorism, high gas prices, preserving the environment, and whatnot. All I've heard is how people like me do such a bad job, but what's your solution?
That's what you'll need to win any elections. You may not like how Republicans are running the country, but at least they're TRYING. Democrats are not providing anything other than roadblocks, and that's not a plan. It's why Kerry lost. No one could figure what he stood for. Hating Bush isn't going to get you very far once he's gone. Then you'll all stand around and go "now what?".

I'm for the war, but if you are against it, how do you propose to contain terrorism and prevent another 9/11? Clinton failed at this, and Bush is TRYING. You want lower gas prices because of Katrina? My proposal was to suspend the taxes on the gas. You want to take from the oil companies. You even said they needed to invest in alternative technologies other than oil. That's stupid. It's like telling us to take our profits from our insurance agency and putting it into how to not buy insurance. That's counterproductive. That's another "green" companies job to do. You're completely against capitalism, which has proven to be the most beneficial system in the world.

I don't think women should be in Iraq patrolling Bagdad, because in a combat situation, they'll be at a disadvantage. Liberals came on here and said if I support the war, then I should be over there. That's so stupid. I have two kids and a business to run with my husband. It would make sense 6 years ago, but I'm past the point now. But, it's the only arguement you people have apparantley. No solutions, just insults and problems. Calling me a "yellow elephant" as other websites have is plain ignorant. But, it proves my point that you all have no solutions to any of the ails to this country. The terrorists were there before Bush & Republicans, and they'll be there after 2008, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?
You people forget history all too easily. You think we can't impose a democracy in Iraq? We've done it before, it's called JAPAN. They worshiped a sun God before we came in, and when they woke the Sleeping Giant, we flattened them, and turned them into a super power in 50 years. It will happen in Iraq, it just takes people like me that remember what we've accomplished in the past to know we can do it again. You would have had the same negative views about Japan, and you would have been wrong. You'll be wrong here, too but only your children will know. Iraq will not be won overnight, you are looking for instant gratification. In the long haul, this is preserving our super power status, and that's what I'm concerned about. I had Meegan say if she heard about 9/11 again, she'd throw up. That's what will hurt us. Remembering 9/11 will give us the conviction to tackle the threats that face our country. Republicans want to be proactive, because the Democrats being reactive cost us 3,000 lives on OUR soil. If we didn't follow through with Japan, they would have been a constant threat until we did take care of it.
Don't compare me to a talking head, because those points I made are all from me.
Geez, at least I have real positions on issues and can provide examples.

- What's legitimate about your hyperbole? I admitted my inaccuracy two weeks ago about Tookie - and gave you props. Did you want me to send you a complimentary subscription to "W.'s Death Penalty Monthly"? As for the tasteless 'poem' - it was just that - tastless. I gave you the proposed solutions on several different occasions. You - as always - fail to listen or read - OR - you delve into the ignorant argument of calling someone 'booksmart' or, in the same breath - idiot...which is good for nothing. So - you're the guilty party in this regard. Indeed, I am not a Democrat. Was, am not anymore. - Talk about putting words into peoples' mouths. If my positions were that simplistic, I might be a Republican...but, I am not. I am an independent...so, all the incorrect stuff you spew is, well, incorrect...at least get my positions right. Am I against capitalism? LOL - I live it everyday, sister and think it has many opportunities to evolve. As for Iraq, good people disagree on the actual outcome; but ONLY false premises, an autocratic anti-American president and, ironically - jingoism - got us into the current Iraqi War. The rationale for the war has changed a total of three times since it started...that's a pretty shitty track record and you know damn well it's because of shitty leadership and spineless conservatives who don't have the balls to stand up and say ENOUGH.
